Welcome to North Camp Surgery
We hope you will find all the information you need regarding the surgery on this website. As well as specific practice details such as opening hours and how to register, you’ll find a wealth of useful pages covering a wide range of health issues along with links to other relevant medical organisations. We are constantly striving to provide the best level of care to our patients and would appreciate your feedback on any issues.
On Thursday 13th September 2018 many of our staff will be attending an important training event arranged by the Clinical Commissioning Group. There will be a reduced number of appointments available on the day. The practice will open as usual at 8am the following day. If you require urgent medical assistance or are ringing for advice about an illness, please dial 111. Calls to NHS 111 are free from both landlines and mobiles. In the event of a medical emergency please contact 999. We apologise for any inconvenience caused.
Due to unsustainable patient demand for appointments on a Monday and Friday we have decided as a practice to trial a new appointment system on a Monday and Friday only with effect from 9th March 2018. We will no longer offer routine same day appointments and you will be asked to book in routine appointments for the next available pre-bookable appointment. Our staff have been instructed by the GP's to ask the reason for your appointment to ensure you are seen by the correct clinician within the correct timescale. Alongside face to face appointments we will now be offering telephone triage appointments with the GP who will then decide if a same day appointment is required. You will still be able to access the pre-bookable appointments online.
We are now offering extended access appointments as a locality, please see 'Extended access' tab above for further information.
Our healthcare team is expanding....
Our pharmacist Sanjeet has been working here for several months. He can do medication reviews and also assists with medication queries. He runs a clinic on a Thursday afternoon and we make ask you to book an appointment with him if it is appropriate.
We now have paramedics employed by the federation of Farnborough GPs who are helping us with home visits. They maybe able to come out sooner than a GP and spend more time doing an assessment before discussing management with your GP.
Get Well, Keep Well
Of course we’re not just here for when you are unwell. Our team of healthcare professionals and back-up staff offer a number of clinics and services to promote good health and wellbeing whatever your medical condition.
Save time – do it online!
GP online services gives patients the option to book appointments, request repeat prescriptions and view their GP records, using their computer, tablet or smartphone rather than having to phone or visit their practice.
Online services complement the existing ways patients can access appointments, prescriptions and their records. Our practices already have the facility to offer online access to records and transactional services for our patients.
If you are not already registered for GP online services please let a member of the practice team know you would like to use this service.
You will need to initially complete the online registration at the surgery before you will have access to making online appointments, ordering repeat prescriptions, access to your medical records. Whatever your thoughts, be sure to let us know via our feedback function. Comments and suggestions are always a great way of helping us continue to enhance the way we look after you.
Our Surgery is accessible by wheelchair and we have a disabled patients’ toilet. If access proves difficult to any of our disabled patients, we would be happy to consider any suggestions for improvement.
